Climate change | The tipping point

Recently, I found an article written in 2016 about how we've surpassed the carbon tipping point and there is no going back. Why I'm just now seeing this, when it's mid-way through 2018 is beyond me but I wanted to give a little explanation for what this means to those unfamiliar with environmental science.
Basically, to sum it up we have surpassed the 400ppm level of atmospheric carbon level and that can never be reversed. This high high level of carbon is permanent. Scientists are saying we will not be seeing carbon levels lower than 400ppm pretty much indefinitely. This marks a milestone in our planets history and we will be stuck here even at the lowest times of atmospheric carbon, usually in September.
Hopefully, this can jet governments and corporations and even individuals into taking action to lower their carbon footprint. If you would like to know your carbon footprint you can find it here: https://www.carbonfootprint.com/measure.html . Right now, bipartisan legislation such as the Paris Agreement is a start but it is not the full solution. Especially with the United States currently trying to leave, whom are the largest contributors, even the Paris Agreement may be doomed. There are many issues that will arise with climate change issues. Issues such as economic instability for many countries, climate change refugees, and an increase of frequency and intensity of natural disasters.
So think about what your contributing and putting out into the world. Is it trash and toxicity? Or something clean and sustainable for the future?
